Our Final Day in Tarapoto

Our final day in Tarapoto started with some fun waterfall vibes followed by breakfast at the cozy Suchiche Café. It was the perfect way to relax before getting in the zone for our second game in two days.

This afternoon’s game was against Tarapoto’s very own Biavo FC – an experienced team which just recently secured promotion to the top flight of women’s soccer in Peru. After conceding early in the game, the Spartans equalized via an impressive solo effort from midfielder Bryana Buttar and managed to keep the score line level until the end.

The match proved to be another great event in bringing communities together. With growing interest both at the game and a live stream broadcast, the 90 minute contest sparked conversation throughout Tarapoto and greater Peru. The Spartans look to continue their impact alongside TeamUp as they travel to Peru’s capital city, Lima, for the next leg of this year’s Peru Impact Trip!
