Hope & Belonging.

35% of the population in Peru live below the poverty line. So, in spite of a recent economic boom throughout the country, some Peruvians still have not escaped their precarious situations.

In Peru, roughly 40 per cent of the country's population is less than 18 years old. Around 550,000 children grow up without parental care. They are either orphans or come from dysfunctional families who neglected them at an early age.

It is not uncommon for children to abandon their families where they often experience severe physical abuse. Domestic violence is a growing problem in Peru.

To execute its activities in Perú, TeamUp assists community development projects by providing sporting activities within a community development project.

At the moment, TeamUp is focusing on Manchay, Peru, without being limited to just this region. This community, having been known as The Valley of Death, is located on the outskirts of Lima, consisting of approximately 190,000 people; 40% live in poverty, 11% in extreme poverty, where it never rains.
