Day 9 in Paraguay!
May 6, 2022
Sanding, painting, & evening fútbol
It was an awesome day reuniting with our longtime partners, Deporvida, and friends in Paraguay. In the morning, we got straight to work with updating a school yard, sanding walls, painting fences and playing with the school kids in between. It was a touching moment when one of the school girls came up to Impact Trip participant, Olivia Lowen, to ask if she could help out. Watch and listen to the story, told by Olivia herself, here.
After a morning and afternoon of community impact projects, we finished the evening with game of fútbol (soccer) at the field next to the school yard. These moments always bring great hope & joy to see the passion and smiles on the young kids faces, as they play the game they love. We may not be fluent in Spanish, but the ball breaks down all language barriers and unites us as one.
We can’t wait for what’s to come in our remaining days in Paraguay!
It’s so good to be back.
