Community impact in ‘New Italy’

A day of passing bricks, meeting new friends and spending time with the community.

The focus of today was assisting in the construction of a lunch room and change room for a local soccer school in the town of ‘New Italy’.

People young and old joined in to help build these two structures — a place where kids can come to get a nutritious meal, hang out with teammates, and have an area where they can change in and out of their soccer gear.

“Even though we don’t speak the same language, it’s still nice to be able to do something together and make an impact for the same reason” — Impact trip participant, Claire Bastura, shared her experience of coming alongside the local community in today’s work project.
