Day 12 in Paraguay

Teamwork makes the dream work.

A day full of manual labour and lasting impact alongside local leaders & our partners, Deporvida — building an extension to the pre-existing community centre. This was a very special day to continue the impact where seeds were planted 3 years ago.

In May of 2019, the University of McGill Martlet Women’s soccer team travelled with TeamUp on an Impact Trip to play soccer, love communities, and assist in work projects like these. They may not have realized it, but their efforts in building a community centre has left a lasting impact.

It was a joy and honour to continue the assist as members of the Trinity Western Men’s & Women’s soccer programs & our Impact Trip team were able to build an extension to the community centre. This has been a place of hope and belonging where kids can access sport, education, nutrition and learn life-skills while being mentored by community leaders.
