Day 10 in Paraguay!

May 7, 2022

First ever Overnight Girls Soccer Camp!

Today was a powerful day of inspiring, encouraging and coming alongside our partners Deporvida, to assist in the second day of the girls overnight soccer camp — “Campamento Deportivo Feminino.”

Soccer in Paraguay is typically a male sport, with little opportunity for girls to get involved without adequate resources. With the support of last year’s TeamUp Challenge donors and participants, we have been able to encourage and assist the 3-day overnight camp with our partners, Deporvida — enabling girls & young women to play, train and compete with other girls across the country. For most, this is their first time ever participating in an all girls event.

The morning started off bright and early with a 6AM start for an event called “The Race”. The event included physically challenging stations of various activities such as cycling, log carrying, car pushing and of course, fútbol. The girls had the opportunity to experience the power of TEAMWORK as they worked through the road blocks, challenges and adversity throughout the race.

It was awesome to have our Impact Trip team join in with the girls to inspire, encourage and be role-models for these young athletes and aspiring footballers.

An impactful day for everyone involved — a massive thank you to our donors & supporters for making this life-changing event possible!
