“Today was an incredible day at the second annual TeamUp Cup. In witnessing the excitement and beaming smiles as the kids left their village for the first time as well as the feeling of unity when the teams dressed in their first set of team kit, my heart felt more full than ever before. While today’s focus was the competition, through interaction with the community, players and volunteers, it quickly became apparent that the TeamUp Cup is about more than just a soccer tournament. The matches today inspired a sense of community, evoked confidence and served as a platform for both young boys and girls to create their own story.”
